Messages – Stop Typing the Same Thing Over and Over
Tired of writing messages to customers? Often the same ones, again and again — "your bike is ready for pickup", "we found another fault"... The Messages (Meddelanden) page is here to help. Speak a message and copy the transcription, or use templates that automatically fill in the customer's name, mechanic, store and price.
What it does
- Speech-to-text — speak your message into a microphone, in any language, and get it transcribed in a second. Ready to copy and send to the customer.
- Templates — ready-made messages for the Counter (Kassa) and Workshop (Verkstad) that are filled in automatically with the customer's name, the mechanic's name, your store name and, optionally, a price.
- One-click copy — every message has a copy button that puts the finished text on your clipboard, ready to paste into a text message or email.
Speech-to-text
It's simple:
- Press the record button at the top of the page.
- Speak your message into a microphone — in any language you like.
- Press stop when you're done.
- Wait a second, and the message has been transcribed. Copy it and send it to the customer.
Templates
Templates come in two lists: Counter (Kassa) and Workshop (Verkstad). The first time you visit the page, each list already contains an example so you can see how it works.
At the top of the page you fill in what changes from customer to customer:
- Customer name — added at the start of the message ("Hej Anna, ...").
- Mechanic name — picked from a list and added to the sign-off at the end.
- Price — only added to templates that have the price option turned on ("Det kommer att kosta 250 kr extra." — "That will cost an extra 250 kr.").
Your store name is taken automatically from your settings. A finished message can look like this:
"Hej Anna, din cykel är nu klar att hämtas. Det kommer att kosta 250 kr extra. Hälsningar Johan, Cykelcenter"
Press the copy icon next to a message and the whole text lands on your clipboard — paste it into the text message and send.
Create and edit templates
- Press Add (Lägg till) above the Counter or Workshop list to create a new template.
- Write the message in the text box — without "hi" and "regards", those are added automatically.
- Choose whether the template should include a price.
- Save — the template appears in the list right away.
To change an existing template, press Edit (Redigera) and then select the template you want to change. That's also where you delete templates you no longer use.
Good to know
- Mechanic names and the store name are set up in Settings (Inställningar) — the mechanic list comes from your store's staff.
- The selected mechanic is remembered for your next visit on the same device, so you don't have to pick one every time.
- Press the Help (Hjälp) button at the top right of the page for a quick reminder of how everything works.
