Nutid at the counter, WooCommerce on the web

The most common setup in Swedish bike shops, and the one we connect most often.

Two systems that should hang together

Nutid keeps order over the counter and WooCommerce shows the range to the outside world. On their own, both do their job. What tends to chafe is the stretch between them, where someone on staff ends up typing the same article in a second time.

We build the connection so that Nutid is the source and WooCommerce mirrors it. Change a price at the counter and the web gets that price. Sell the last one over the counter and it disappears online.

Because WooCommerce is open, it can be steered quite precisely: which categories are published, how images and descriptions are pulled in, and which articles should stay visible even at zero stock.

What is synchronised between Nutid and WooCommerce

You decide which parts you want running, and the flows can be switched on one at a time.

Articles from Nutid become products in WooCommerce, with the article number as the key.
Prices come from the POS, campaign prices included for as long as they apply.
Stock levels update continuously so the web shows what the shop really holds.
Web orders enter the flow so counter sales and online sales add up.

How we build the connection

The work starts in your article register, because that is where the quality is decided. We check that article numbers, categories and supplier links are unambiguous enough to be matched against the web.

We read the register in Nutid and compare it with what already sits in WooCommerce.
We run the connection against a selection of articles first and go through the result with you.
Once that selection looks right, we open it up to the rest of the range.

What you need to do is give us access to Nutid and to WooCommerce, and point out which categories should go out. After that you carry on at the counter exactly as before.

Nutid is the source, WooCommerce mirrors it.
No article has to be created twice.
Stock online follows the shop floor.

You run the counter, we run the stretch in between.
